“There is good reason that self-awareness might be limited by this disorder. Neuropsychological research indicates that self-awareness is relatively localized to the prefrontal lobes with disorders affecting this region, such as Alzheimer’s disease, markedly reducing self-awareness (Fuster, 1997; Stuss & Benson, 1986).”

This is a nightmare, and yet I’m STILL unwilling to give up. Who does that?
