I like these people.

I don’t know either of them, but they marked a couple of my local art photographs on flickr as favorites, and I was intrigued so I followed them here: zack+gala bent
Follow along to their delightful blogs, and see their lovely, distinctive work. I love it when I see a happy, lovely, artist couple working SO well together and still having such individual, strong, artistic vision. I also blogs that help you see the world through new eyes, as a lovely magical place.
I have so much going on, I can hardly start. But if it were truly a Fresh New Morning, I would pick this lovely family as friends. It’s a small town - I wouldn’t be surprised to meet them, or their work, in person serendipitously.
Speaking of new friends and intriguing, delightful people: I met some wonderful ones at yesterday’s Olympic Sculpture Park opening-slash-dayofdelight, and the flickr meetup afterwards. See their work:
my Happy Houseboat companions, Bob & Joan (photos by Bob)
Saska, whose photos from yesterday are already up!
Ms. Monica, who is lovely and bright and new in town.
Eric, the meetup organizer and holder of my eventual dream job…
Paul G, a lovely surprise
and many more….
Oh, and tell me if you see the picture of me in my red coat taken by a member of the Associated Press. (Talk about camera envy!!! Dude showed me his genius shot, and then spelled my name into his camera as a note.)
I also saw some loved ones: Heidi and the best thing ever to happen to her (congratulations!!), who bore some other good news (congratualtions, this time directed NE! And welcome to tiny Ms. early bird Petah!!!!). Also, the man behind this secret identity. And what would an opening be lately without running into Jed? And finally, Damion+Jayne+the cutest little bundle of trouble ever. Damion, by the way, never ceases to surprise me with his insight and his gift for finding the perfect words for what I’m musing on. Not irrelevant to me, my dears. And does Jayne just keep getting prettier? Sheesh.
What a lovely day.
On the way home, after a nice chat with my delightful new friend Monica, I stopped by the McLeod Residence, where Lele and I were “frightened” by a haunting:

Tamara, it was cool to run into you at the Sculpture Park during our Flickr meetup. I meant to send you a reminder about the Flickr Thursday Night Brews and Views… but I spaced on it. Maybe you can join us in February.

And I meant to come! I was actually planning to go after Egger McLeod Happy Hour, but I had so much fun there I couldn’t leave. I think my Thursdays are booked from now on!
