Lovely, lovely Leroy J….
What a blow this morning, to learn that violinist and composer Leroy Jenkins died on Friday. I count myself very very lucky to have encountered this sweet spirit for the first time in person when we both performed at the Sounds Like Now festival in October 2004. And call me spoiled, but that was not enough. My heart hurts; another elder called away.
