McLeod Residence Press release: The Barbarian Group at McLeod!

You know the Barbarian Group - they did “Subservient Chicken” and Super Deluxe. They’ve messed with the mirrors in the bathrooms at McLeod Residence. Have to see to believe! I’m going to, at happy hour tonight. Join me…

Blogger or Livejournal?

May 18, 2007

I’ve got something in the works.
Help me out, kids: Should I start it at Blogger or Livejournal? Why?
Or should I stick with Wordpress? This is for something I need a lot more control over, something REALLY easy that I can post photos on a lot, and a little more networking capability than Wordpress - also the spam here is out of control.

Between that and this and the continuous sass of Regina Hackett, I’m surprised to find myself rather impressed with the P-I lately.

I missed this one, I was in the other room at the merch table the whole time.
Be sure to click on the link, there’s lots more I didn’t even know were filmed!

My May Artwalk photoset

So much to say, so slammed at work, so much more to do with McLeod Residence opening tonight, volunteering and bbq and more SAM tomorrow, and unZipped on Sunday! Jen said it all better than I could, anyway. And I only saw a fraction. I’m so excited though. I LOVED it. Artwalk overall was nice actually, with a stop at the TK Lofts to see Sheri Brown, everything looked great. LOVED the SOIL show. We finally made it down to NPCA, too, and met Shane. The most unexpected piece of art all night, this is a must-see: Check out their new PSAs, they’re my new favorite thing ever. “It’s Not Like We Can Make New Ones”. Look closely. One thing I like about living in our ages is that you really can run into brilliance at any time.

Then the SAM Arts Community Preview event: Saw the nicest assortment of people - Lo, Steven, Eric, and Neil from work; Kiki, Izaak, Monica&Stephen, DeeDee, Moby, Chris, Chauney, Jason, and of course Ben and Zac and Jed and all those people I expected to see. Avery I found, and delivered to him the source of chiming and tinkling that had been following me around all night from my purse. The look on his face was the best part all night. Even saw Paul Taub, that was nice. LOVED the Australian & Oceanic Art and the Modern & Contemporary art sections and all of Puccinelli’s stuff. Haven’t even seen half of the museum.
