Ah, Momus. He was an early blogger and wrote some really interesting essays. I remember reading his blog almost daily back around ‘99 or so. There was a really interesting short essay he wrote, titled ‘Funky Ashkenazy’ - I think - and an hilarious account of a visit to Cynthia Plaster Caster (while touring the US) where he struggled to maintain his, er, composure long enough to get a mold taken while suffering from a nasty flu - that’s the kind of scenario that deserves to be enshrined in a Mastercard commercial: priceless.
