This writer obviously went to rehearsal last night:
Bring in the Degenerates
Seattle Group Goes ‘Cuckoo’ for REDCAT
by Julie Riggott

We’re off to the sunshine state for the new incarnation of the Degenerate Art Ensemble’s “Cuckoo Crow”.

Josh’s old band/performance group has been getting a lot of great pre-press for their show at Disney’s magnificent REDCAT theater in downtown LA.

Google says it’s supposed to snow Saturday - I hope it waits until Sunday night, I LOVE snow!

Ha! Hope and sense making a comeback!!!

Simple majority wins – by a simple majority

In other good news:
I won a free Amtrak companion fare coupon just for riding the bus to work.
They’re throwing around Random Acts of Kindness at work as part of our internal charitable campaign, and I got hit with a Glazer’s gift card!!! Out of nowhere!
I shook the mayor’s hand twice on Wednesday, and got to gently preach CRE. (He spoke to the volunteers in the AM on Tuesday, but didn’t get to sit down to lunch with any clients like we did.)
And CRE was best of all… more on that shortly.

What the HELL?

Are you kidding me Seattle? Did you people just not vote?

At least you didn’t elect this guy, but Eyman’s measure? Really? Do you know how expensive that’s going to be? And what’s with all the Republicans?
(What did we learn today? Don’t drink and drive, kids.)

Okay, if you don’t turn out next year, I am coming to your house.

What’s over.

Rock music, popular music, cars, telephones, television, and democracy, according to Nick Currie. Oh, and America, too. Books, wildlife, winter. He also talks about what’s “not over”. Yay photography and handmade stuff!

Oh also: what the hell? (Metroblogging Seattle)

Lunchtime surprise

November 5, 2007

I finally get it together enough to go upstairs for lunchtime yoga at work, and guess who the teacher is? One of my favorite old multimedia-art allies from Cornish in the 90’s: none other than Jessica. My dancing doppelganger from my senior piece. A wonderful lady I hardly ever see anymore. Talk about instant reward for doing something to take care of myself! And now there’s built-in incentive for going every week.

Funny, the whole time she’s been right upstairs from my office every Monday and neither of us knew. What a nice start to the week.

Speaking of, yesterday Josh and I explored some ice caves. And I suck for posting so seldom, but I’m overwhelmed and have tons of work. But for now I have to figure out all these crazy complicated issues surrounding tomorrow’s votes - one of the hardest ballots I’ve seen in a while! (Where’s Billy Monto when you need him?)

Hey - it’s a start.
(this is becoming a theme. Good.)
